Anchor at the top creates the reference point. Most buyers see the price gap and choose the modal tier without prompting. The floor tier captures new buyers who would otherwise bounce on price.

How the band is calculated.
Three multipliers stacked on a category base price:
- Category base. SaaS, DTC, services, creators, and local services run on different absolute price floors. SaaS modal in early stage is roughly $99/mo; services modal is roughly $3,000/project.
- Stage multiplier. Pre-launch 0.7×, Early 1.0×, Growth 1.4×, Scale 2.0×. Larger companies anchor higher because their buyer expects depth + support.
- Differentiation multiplier. Commodity 0.7×, Clear 1.0×, Category-defining 1.8×. Stronger positioning earns price.
The numbers above are a starting band, not a quote. Real pricing needs evidence from your category: 5-10 scraped competitor pages, search intent, customer language, proof gaps. Deep Reads deliver that full read in 10 days. Cost vs strategy consultants.
