Glossary
Average Order Value (AOV)
AOV = total revenue divided by total orders in a period.
What it is
The average dollar amount per transaction. Different from LTV (which includes repeat orders).
Common mistake
Conflating AOV with LTV. AOV is per-transaction; LTV is per-customer over the relationship.
Healthy pattern
AOV climbs steadily as you add bundles, upsells, and clear premium tiers. Sudden AOV jumps usually mean buyer mix changed, not product changed.
How LoopWorker reads it
AOV trend is one signal in pricing-band drift. Sprint reads AOV alongside competitor pricing pages and search demand to find whether your floor is too low.
